Die in Brooklyn beheimate Design-Firma Pensa hat ihre neueste Kreation vorgestellt, das Merge-Bike. Es sieht ziemlich minimalistisch aus, das Zweirad-Meisterwerk hat aber viele versteckte Features, einschließlich eines Handy-Ladegerätes und einen Pop-Out-Gepäckträger. Man findet viele moderne Elemente einschließlich der Signalleuchten damit der Fahrer von Autofahrern und Fußgänger besser gesehen wird. Knapp unterhalb der Frontscheinwerfer, gibt es einen versteckten USB-Anschluss für ein Smartphone. Das Telefon wird in eine Tasche am Rahmen verstaut. Ein erstes Video dem Break.
“We thought it was a little arrogant to come in and say ‘no the bike should be this’ and we’re going to reinvent this whole new icon,” sagt ;ark Prommel Creative Cirector bei Pensa “At the same time we were able to take some of the geometry and extend those through what would be the normal junctions to create these four access points.”
